#GOSHFriday Fun Run

When we work together we can achieve some incredible things! We are so incredibly grateful for EVERYONE who took part in some way for today’s fun run, in support for Great Ormond Street Hospital and Children’s Charity.

To those who couldn’t be there but wished us well, the parents and guardians who were cheering our champions on from the sidelines, members of the Whiteley parkrun and the footballers, turned runners (182 of you!!), you are ALL awesome and what makes this club; this community fantastic!

If you wish, you can still continue to make donations to this important charity, here: https://www.justgiving.com/page/gosh-friday

We hope you all enjoyed it!

Please enjoy a few photos from the event and please feel free to add your own.

Congratulations Greg Hasluck

The club wanted to extend a huge congratulations to Greg Hasluck for recently passing his FA Level 1 Introduction to Coaching Football qualification, marking a significant step forward in his coaching journey.

It’s coaches like him who ensure the future of football at our club is bright and that our young players have the guidance and support they need to reach their full potential.

Whiteley Wanderers Community Awards 2024

Whiteley Wanderers was last night presented with The Mayor of Winchester Community Awards 2024, recognising all the hard work the club and it’s volunteers do for our community.

Our volunteers are the backbone of this club, creating fun ways for our children to play football.

A huge thank you to everyone involved, whether you are a player, coach, respect steward during games, parent helper, run the flag on the weekend, get the goals out and put them away, organise activities, respond to questions late into the evening, arranging and rearranging fixtures, safeguarding our kids, organising memberships, finding training venues, and 100 other critically important activities…

It matters. You matter.

You are all super stars and we are very grateful for you all!

A Weekend of Unity, Pride, and Gratitude: Whiteley Wanderers Honors Our Heroes

This weekend, our football teams, from our youngest youth squads to our seasoned men’s first team, united across Hampshire’s fields, showcasing the unwavering spirit and passion that define our club.

Remembrance weekend’s events served as a powerful testament to the spirit of Grassroots Football – a spirit that is built on respect, camaraderie, and a deep love for the beautiful game.

We saw these values reflected in every interaction, from the encouragement between teammates to the warm handshakes between opponents.
